Political representation Women out! :

The road to equal representation is still long. Some 96 women will sit in the House of Representatives during the eleventh legislature, compared to 81 in the last legislature. This is a step forward, but it is a false dawn. In fact, only six women MPs were able to win their seats at the local legislative constituency level, compared to ten in 2016. Women MPs, who have gained a foothold locally, represent only 1.9% of the total number of MPs in local constituencies. Despite promises and declarations of intent by political leaders, the glass ceiling is proving difficult to break.

Rising prices. Abusive increases:

With an increase by about 2.2%, the increase of the consumer price index (CPI), published by the High Commission for Planning (HCP), in July 2021, has already provided a foretaste of the surge of some food products on the shelves of Moroccan markets. Table oil, durum wheat bread, semolina, coffee, rice and tea... Prices of several items have accelerated sharply recently, affecting the budget of Moroccan households, according to the Moroccan Federation of Consumer Rights (FMDC) and the National Federation of Consumer Associations (FNAC).

The September 8th unveils what some people did not want to see:

In Morocco, the question of accessibility for people with disabilities is still being raised. The proof is the latest report by the Collective for the Promotion of the Rights of People with Disabilities, concerning access to polling centres and polling stations for the legislative, regional and communal elections of September 8th. According to this document, 23% of polling stations at the national level do not have parking spaces near their entrance doors, specifically dedicated to people with disabilities.
