Coronavirus: No cases have been reported in Morocco:
The new coronavirus called "2019-nCov" continues to spread around the world. The virus has affected several countries since its spread from Wuhan in east-central China. Since its appearance in December 2019 in the market in Wuhan, the number of victims is increasing day by day. The death toll as of Sunday, January 26 stands at 56 dead and nearly 2,000 people infected. Almost all the victims were in the Wuhan region. Products unfit for consumption: Nearly 18,000 tonnes destroyed in 2019:
More than 13 million tons of food products came under the scrutiny of the services of the National Office of Food Safety (ONSSA) in 2019. Indeed, the Office has just unveiled the balance of its activities which includes 74,799 control operations over this period. Of the total food products concerned, 17,641 tonnes were destroyed or rejected. At the same time, 2,243 reports of infringements were drawn up and forwarded to the public prosecutor's office.
